William H. Davis, Jr., 90, of Terre Haute and formerly of Montezuma, died on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
He was born July 19, 1928 in Dana, Indiana, to William H. Davis, Sr. and Leatha Violet Randolph Davis.
He was a US Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War era. He was formerly a guard and a fireman at the Newport Army Ammunition Plant.
He was the author of "Voices of Parke County" and other published works in the National Library of Poetry; and in Creative Arts and Sciences publications.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 sisters, Hope Davis, Berneice Cox, Betty Scott, Polly Roemack, and Jenny Riggin; and 3 brothers, Eugene Davis, Malcolm Davis, and Glen Davis.
He is survived by one sister, Carolyn (Phil) Miller of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2018 from 1 to 3 pm at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma. Funeral services will be at 3 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Keith McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery In Montezuma.
