Richard "Dick" Auten

Richard “Dick” Auten, 79, of Montezuma, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 26th, 2021 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
Richard was born in Illinois on December 6th, 1941 to Vincel and Beulah Tracy Auten.  He was married to Nikki Auten. He was very actively involved with the Covered Bridge Softball League, and was also a member of Montezuma Fish and Game Club.
Richard is preceded in death by both parents, his loving wife, NIkki, two sisters, and 3 brothers, and 1 granddaughter.
He is survived by his children, Richlynn McFall (James) of Montezuma, Ted Auten of Montezuma, and Angela Shoopman (Gary) of Montezuma; grandchildren, Max McFall, Heather Gossett, Brittany Auten, Zachary Auten, Casey Garrett, Kourtney Harmon, Chelsea Hill; step-grandsons, Roy Cook, and Jacob Shoopman; several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Richard will be Wednesday, September 29th, 2021, from 4 to 8pm at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma. Funeral services will be the following day, Thursday, September 30th, 2021 at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Houvenagle officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
