Richard Anthony Barfay, 55, of Clinton, passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 25. 2020 at 5 am.
He was born in Warren, Ohio on August 23, 1964 to Patricia Garvey Calderia.
He was formerly employed at the Walmart Distribution Center in maintenance and a service technician for Mercer Technology, where he traveled a lot. Richard had many things he enjoyed, among them, his love for boating, 4-wheelers, fishing, Elvis, the outdoors and grilling out.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Darrell and Bonnie Sykes; and a brother-in-law, Mark Sykes.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sykes of St. Bernice, whom he married February 14, 1990 at Lake Worth, FL and where they lived for 10 years; a son, Richard Anthony ll (Abby) Barfay of Montezuma; A daughter, Amber B. (Mike) Miller of St. Bernice; a sister, Angel (Tito) Avila of Leigh Akers, FL; grandchildren, Sean and Anthony Barfay, and Brentley, Brayden, and Dalton Miller; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be on Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 1 to 3 pm at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma. Funeral services will be at 3 pm Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Rick May officiating. Burial will follow in Helt’s Prairie Cemetery in Hillsdale.
In lieu of flowers, if one desires, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
