Rex Hendrix

Rex Hendrix, 84, of Fontanet, IN died on August 3, 2018, at Signature Healthcare at 12:19 PM.
Rex was born in Hillsdale, IN on February 9, 1934 to Charles and Rose Keene Hendrix.  He married his wife, Anita Hercules, on September 1, 1962, a relationship that lasted 54 years. Rex served in the 7th Infantry Battalion during the Korean War as a medic.  He worked at Columbia Records for 33 years.  He loved family gatherings, the outdoors, and animals.
Rex was proceeded in death by his father, Charles; his mother, Rose; his stepmother, Thersa; sister, Margaret; brothers, Don, James, and Paul; his wife, Anita; and his niece Donna Lee.  
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Rita, Diane, Denny, Bruce, Connie, Brent, and Eric.
Visitation will be 1-3 PM on Tuesday at Brown-Mack Funeral Home.  Services will begin at 3 PM with Reverend Elissa Williams officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma.  Military honors will be performed.  Online condolences may be made at www.brownmackfuneralhome.com.
