Raymond L. “Skip” Strauser, 65 of Montezuma, died June 21, 2017 at his sister’s residence in Brush Prairie, WA. He was born August 5, 1951 in Gary, IN to Dale and Lvonne Strauser.
He had formerly been the town marshal of Montezuma, a Parke County Sherriff’s Deputy, and had worked as a private investigator. He was a US Air Force Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post # 104 in Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sisters, Marsha and Walter Olson of Katy, TX and Susan and Mike Fuller of Brush Prairie, WA; two brothers, Randall and Janet Strauser of Corscina, TX and Mark and Cathy Strauser of Madison, AL; six nephews; and four nieces.
Visitation will be from 12-2 PM on Saturday at Brown-Mack Funeral Home. Services will begin at 2 PM with Reverend’s Wendy Olson and Greg Goodrick officiating. Military honors will be performed by Parke County Veterans Organizations. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.brownmackfuneralhome.com.
