Nell R. (Brown) Brown

Nell Rose Brown, 93, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

She was born in Clinton, Indiana on September 10, 1931, to Virgil Brown and Mary Tucker Brown.

Nell worked as an inspector at ATAPCO. She was a longtime member of the Parke County Covered Bridge Art Gallery retiring in December of 2021. Nell specialized in oil painting. She was a wonderful mom and grandma. Nell loved spending time with her family and playing board games.

Those preceding Nell in death are her parents, sister Barbara Sanders.

Surviving are her sons Robert Simms (Lori) of Lake Holliday and John Simms (Terri) of Crawfordsville; grandchildren Elijah Simms (fiancé Taylor Hendricks), Angela Thomas (fiancé Don Rogers), Jay Simms (Mandy) and Curt Simms (Angela); great-grandchildren Lexi Frederick (Bryce), Kendra, Derek and Dylan Simms; beloved niece Donna Britt and nephew Ted A. Sanders and several great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank The Lane House and Guardian Angel Hospice for their kindness and caring.

Visitation will be at Brown-Mack Funeral Home on Tuesday December 31, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Service at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Home for the Friendless Animals in memory of Nell. Envelopes will be provided.
