Melvin L. Wilderman, 90, of Clinton, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
He was born in Greenville, Illinois on November 1, 1934, to Ralph and Tevilla (Parrish) Wilderman who precede Melvin in death along with his wife Pauline Wilderman; brother Roland Wilderman and sisters Barbara Winko and Betty Lowe.
Melvin defended our country serving in the United State Army fighting on the front lines during the Korean war. He was very proud of his service. Melvin retired from the Boilermakers and had a cattle farm for many years as well as his welding shop. He had been a member of the VFW post in Montezuma until its closing. Melvin also belonged to Parke Masonic Lodge #8 and the Montezuma Fish and Game Club.
Surviving is his son Curtis Wilderman of Rockville; daughters Tammy Hill (Joe) of Mecca and Lori Selzer (Wil) of Clinton; sister Mary Doan (Paul) of Pennsylvania and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Brown-Mack Funeral Home on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. There will be a Mason service at 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service with Pastor Mark Houvenagle officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
