Martha Jean (Gerrish) Cox

Martha Jean Cox 79 of Montezuma passed away at 11:35pm on Jan 13, 2013 in
her residence. She was born on Nov 7, 1933 in Clinton to Clarence Gerrish and
Madonna Freed Gerrish. She married Dane Cox on Nov 27, 1952 in Indianapolis
and he survives. She was a secretary for Cox Trucking and a homemaker. She
was a member of the Montezuma Christian Church and DAR and a past member
of the Art Gallery. She was a formerly a 4H and Cub Scout leader.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Dale Gerrish.
She is survived by her husband Dane Cox of Montezuma, one son Daryl & Sherry
Cox of Indianapolis, three daughters; Gina & Mike Watson of Mt. Zion, IL., Lou
Ann Cox of Terre Haute and Deidre & Terry Drake of Centerpoint, IN. 8
grandchildren; Travis Sutton, Chad Watson, Christi Cox Lowe, Lindsey Watson
Damery, Lacey Sutton, Amy Watson Guinn, Brandon Watson and Kevin Cox. 8
great grandchildren; Ashton, Dane, Hadleigh, Adalyn, Lexie, Braylon, Shae and Cael.
One sister Mildred Robertson of Franklin, IN. Also, several neices and nephews.
Visitation will be 5-8pm on Tuesday at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma
and one hour prior to service on Wed. Service will be at 11am on Wednesday with
Rev. Keith McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
