On the evening of December 6, 2015, at Clinton Gardens, Madonna Mathas Adams, 89, left her earthly home for her eternal home. This comes almost three months to the date of losing her husband, Wendell Adams. They had been married almost 67 years.
Madonna was born in Montezuma October 5, 1926 to Chester and Alice (Smith) Mathas. She lived most of her life in Montezuma and always considered it to be her home. She was a homemaker and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Malcom Mathas and Darrell Mathas, and their spouses.
Madonna is survived by two daughters, Nancy Adams Rohr and Mike of Clinton and Marilyn Adams Hall and Darl of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Shane Miller, Wes and Michelle Booth, Kirk Rohr, Emily M. Hall, and Katy E. Hall; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Fox of Rockville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 11-1 on Thursday at Brown-Mack Funeral Home with services to begin at 1 with Reverend Bill Felts officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
