Lonnie L. Lewis, 98, of Montezuma passed away on Tuesday June 4, 2024, at his home.
He was born on February 12, 1926, in West Virginia to Joseph Lewis and Beulah (Fairchild) Lewis.
Those preceding Lonnie in death are his parents, wife Pat Lewis, infant son Lonnie L. Lewis Jr., sons Ronald Lewis and Joe Lewis, three brothers and three sisters.
Lonnie was in the United States Navy serving our country during World War II. He was a lifelong upholsterer; he was the best in his craft, and he was a lifetime member of the Montezuma Fish & Game Club.
Lonnie is survived by his sons Mike Lewis of Rockville and Mark Lewis (Sharon) of Montezuma; daughters Joyce Foreman, Pam Martin, Melinda Cipriano (Yorfino) and April Askren (Mike) all of Montezuma; brother Johnny Lewis (Bonnie) of Sterling, Illinois; first wife Patricia Louise Henderson of Rockville; sixteen grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Brown-Mack Funeral Home on Saturday June 8, 2024, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Service at 2:00pm. Military honors will be prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma.
