Linda Jeffery Obituary

Linda Lou Newnam Market Jeffery, 86, of Montezuma, passed away on Friday March 17, 2023, in her home.

She was born in Bloomingdale, IN., on September 29, 1936, to Max Newnam and Effie McBride Newnam.

Preceding Linda in death are her parents; two infant children Timothy and Karen Market; her first husband and her children’s father William Market and her sister Dixie Kenley.

Linda is survived by her husband Marcene Dale Jeffery Sr., sons Justin Max William Market (Theresa), David Patrick Market, Roger Eugene Market and Marcene Dale Jeffery Jr., daughters Connie Jo Market Norman and Pamela Dawn Market Todd; sister Rita LeLoup (Denny); fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Linda was a member of the Covered Bridge Antique Tractor Club. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Roachdale Chapter 247, and Daughters of the Nile of Terre Haute. She also volunteered at the Parke County Food Pantry for many years.

Cremation was chosen. There will be an Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile Memorial Service held graveside on Saturday March 25, 2023, at Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Keith McIntyre officiating.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 29, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Montezuma Independent Baptist Church.
