James “Jim” H. Rumple, 71, of Montezuma died May 10, 2016 at 4:40 pm in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born April 16, 1945 in Vermillion County, Indiana to Heston Rumple and Elsie Neild Rumple.
On May 15, 1964, he married Margie York in Dana and she survives. He was retired from AET and had also been a driver for IMI. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a former member of the Montezuma Fire Department and was a trustee for the Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church. He was a member of the American Legion of Newport and a member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jamie Rumple; and three brothers, Ronald, George, and Jack Rumple.
Surviving are his wife Margie of Montezuma; a daughter, Shelly and Albert Kelley of Montezuma; grandchildren, Lynnea and Travis Rusk of Clinton, Heston Maloney and Kailey of Stewart, FL, Jameson Kelley of Montezuma, Michael Kelley of Terre Haute, and AJ Kelley of Montezuma; three great-grandchildren, Elsie Mae Seward, Elliott Rusk, and Audrey Rusk; a sister, Karen and Ronnie Lewis of Montezuma; two sister-in-law’s, Karen Bray of Dana and Joanie Rumple of Dana; mother-in-law, Helen York of Montezuma; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-8 on Friday at Brown-Mack Funeral Home. Services will be 1 pm on Saturday at the funeral home with Reverend Mark Houvenagle officiating. Burial will be in Bono Cemetery. Military honors will be performed.
