Harlan Austin Ross, 22, of Montezuma, died November 19, 2017. He was born June 25, 1995 in Clinton to Joshua Ross and Laura Kay Peters Ross.
He was a welder at Harbour Rail Car. He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, where he had enjoyed going on mission trips.
He is survived by his mother, Laura and Roy Muncie of Terre Haute; his father, Joshua Ross and Mandy Troxel of Clinton; paternal grandparents, Ray and Luanne Ross of Montezuma; maternal grandparents, Rick and Lynn Peters of Terre Haute and Pam Peters of Clinton; sisters, Emily Price, Brea Ross, Desiree Muncie, Marissa Muncie, and Lyndsey Atkinson; two brothers, RJ Muncie and Devon Sly; great-grandparents, Jerry and Wanita Doan of Centenary and Esther Ross of Perrysville; and special friend, Randy Finney of Montezuma.
He was his grandpa’s best buddy, who he loved to hunt with. He had a love of music, which he and his father shared together. He also loved to go fishing, with his daddy Roy.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at Brown-Mack Funeral Home, with Reverend Bill Felts officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 14th and Chestnut Community Center in Terre Haute, as Harlan spent a lot of time there in his youth.
