Gary Roderick Obituary

Gary E. Roderick 81, of Hillsdale  Died at 4:03 a.m. Sunday December 8, 2013 in Clinton Gardens. He was born September 29, 1932 In Jonesboro Illinois to Wilber Roderick and Thelma Cole Roderick. He was a U.S Air force Veteran serving in Korean War. He was retired from Olinmathison/Flexel. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Charles David Roderick, James Roderick, and Bernard Roderick. He was a member of the Montezuma Presbyterian  Church, 50 year member of the Montezuma #89 F&AM, and a 50 year member of the OES #537, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, He became a 33rd degree Mason in 1984, and was a member of the  American Legion #184 of Newport. He is survived by his wife Margaret Schwab Roderick of Hillsdale and one son Nick Roderick of Hillsdale. Also two brothers Harold and Kay Roderick of Clinton and Robert Roderick of Bloomington Illinois, two sisters Roberta Hinote of Veedersburg and Patsy Roderick of Newport. Several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4-8 on Wednesday in Brown-Mack Funeral Home. Services will be held 11am Thursday at Brown-Mack Funeral Home with Rev. Mark and Wendy Olson and Rev. Leon Meyers. Masonic Services will be held at 7:30pm Wednesday  with 33rd Degree Memorial Service to follow. Burial with be in Thomas Cemetery in Newport. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Montezuma OES #537.
