Dorothy Jean Pearman, 96, of Hillsdale, died June 18, 2022, at 9:32 PM at Union Hospital Terre Haute.  She was born September 6, 1925, in Hillsdale to Theodore Short and Margie Graham Short. 

She had worked as a janitor at North Vermillion High School, several years ago. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Pearman; one son, Eddie Pearman; one grandson, John Pearman; one great-grandson, Tyler App; and two brothers, Ronnie Short and his wife Cleola and Robert Short.

She is survived by three daughters, Velma and Bill Leach of Hillsdale, Kay Porter of Clinton, and Mary and Elwood Delp of Montezuma; one son, Joe Pearman of Attica; two sisters, Rena and Norman Jones of Bloomingdale and Donna and Tommy Kitchens of Alabama; three brothers, Leon Short of Clinton, Hubert Short of Terre Haute, and Kenny Short of Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held June 28, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Independent Baptist Church in Montezuma, with Reverend Keith McIntyre officiating.  Cremation was chosen.  Online condolences may be made at www.brownmackfuneralhome.com.
