Donald Williamson Obituary

Donald Williamson passed away on July 6, 2022 in Franklin, Indiana surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Joan (Rennick) Williamson, son Tracy (Melinda) Williamson and daughter Kelli (Mark) Jones, brother Bill, sister Mary, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Born in Georgetown, Illinois, on November 22, 1934, to William and Willa (Grider) Williamson, he was preceded in death by his parents, his four sisters Cindy, Phyllis, Judy, and Barbara, his son Stacy Williamson, daughter Drinda Crabtree, and great granddaughter, Claire Busenbark.

Donald served in the United State Navy. Donald was a lover of Jesus and was very active in his church, serving as an elder for many years. Donald loved sports and was an avid tennis player, golfer, and competed in shuffleboard tournaments in Florida. He also enjoyed playing board games, cards, and spending time outdoors. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends and was outgoing and did not meet a stranger. He deeply loved his friends and family.

The service for Donald Williamson will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, at 1:00pm at Independent Baptist Church in Montezuma, Indiana. There will be a visitation prior to the memorial service from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the memorial service to immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Our Hospice in Columbus, Indiana, or your local Hospice centers.
