DAVID MACK SANDERS
July 18, 1975 – Aug. 7, 2022
David “Punk” Sanders, 47, passed away at 3:31 p.m. on Sunday August 7, 2022 in IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in Terre Haute, July 18, 1975, to the late Ronnie Sanders and Vickie Blue Rozina.
Punk worked as a semi driver and worked maintenance at Big Inch in Montezuma.
He loved cooking especially on his smoker and made some of the best ribs around and had copied granny Hazel’s apple cake to perfection. He also loved riding his motorcycle, his dog Jerseyand building things. He loved helping friends and family and was a member of the Montezuma Fish & Game Club.
He is survived by his mother Vickie Rozina of Clinton; his son Kolten Sanders of Mecca, a brother Toby (Colleen) Sanders also of Mecca; two uncles, Bo Blue of Clinton and Mike Blue ofKingman; and nieces and nephews, Meghan Bullington, Cody Sanders, Hunter James, Lilly Sanders, Evan James and Sophie Sanders.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister Angela Bullington and grandparents Mack and Barbara Blue and Russ and Hazel Sanders.
Arrangements have been made at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 2 p.m. and services immediately following with the Reverend Donna Hardesty officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma.
