Cindy L. Rohr

Cindy Rohr, 54 of Montezuma, went to her eternal home, August 21, 2023, in Union Hospital Terre Haute. She was born January 29, 1969, in Clinton, IN to Larry and Anita (Taylor) Rohr.

            Cindy graduated from Riverton Parke High School and Indiana Business College. She worked at the Newport Chemical Depot and as a dispatcher with the Clinton City Police Department and the Parke County Sheriff’s Department. She could give emergency workers directions to places many of us have never heard of all the while remaining calm and collected. Cindy was a kind, caring compassionate person who enjoyed helping others. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and shared her gift with many throughout the years. Cindy enjoyed collecting Santas (even having a room dedicated to them) purses, and anything purple. She shared her Daily Dose of Purple to her Facebook page. She was a member of the Montezuma Christian Church, and she loved playing Bunco with the Bunco Babes.

            Survivors include her mother, Anita Rohr, Montezuma, one brother, Anthony (Jodi) Rohr of Montezuma, sister, Kelli Rohr of Rockville, two nephews, Jared Rohr, and Heath Rohr, three great nieces, Haley, Makayla, and Gracelyn Rohr. Her great nieces were the light of her life. Just ask her and she could talk about them for hours.

            She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Rohr.

            Visitation will be 3-6 pm, Wednesday, August 30, at Brown Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma. Services will begin at 6:00pm with Rev. Greg Goodrick officiating.

            In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parke-Vermillion County Crisis Pregnancy Center (Cindy loved babies!), the Parke-Vermillion FOP or the charity of your choice in her memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
