Charlotte G. Purcell, 91, of Terre Haute and formerly of Montezuma, passed away at Union Hospital in Terre Haute Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 12:12 pm.
She was born in Upland, IN, on April 9, 1929, to George Washington Watts and Helen Opal Patterson Watts.
She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Montezuma, a 50 year plus member of the Montezuma Order of Eastern Star, and an Avon Representative for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Purcell; and her brothers, Russell, Bob, Jim, and Donald.
She is survived by her son, Wendell (Dena) Purcell of Ft. Wayne; her daughters, Judy (Jim) McAlister of Loudon, TN, Janet Virostko of Rockville, Becky (John) Benton of Dana, and Amy (Shawn) Sykes of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Jamie Wolfgram, Ken Kirchoff, Bob Kirchoff, Jay Benton, Rachel Purcell, Sierra Sykes, Shelby Sykes, Erin Purcell, Gavin Purcell; eleven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Nancy Watts of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews.
Private visitation will be on Friday, May 1, 2020 from 11 am to 1 pm at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma. Private funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Keith McIntyre officiating and burial will follow in Memory Garden in Rockville.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
