Beverley Garrett Obituary
Beverley K. Garrett, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, September 13th, 2021.
She was born November 3rd, 1937, in Montezuma, Indiana.
Beverley graduated Montezuma High School and moved to Indianapolis to work for Franklin General Insurance for a year. She then worked for Hoosier Casualty Insurance Company that eventually became Reliance Insurance Company and was relocated to Philadelphia as an Assistant Office manager for the next 9 years. Beverley returned to Indianapolis in 1974 to work for American States Insurance and worked there for 14 ½ years.
In 1986 Beverley changed career paths and went to work for the Department of Revenue-inheritance tax department for the State of Indiana for 12 years.
In 1998 Beverley was struck by a car and sustained several injuries and retired upon her recovery. She was happily retired and resided on the west side of Indianapolis for the past 22 years.
Beverley is survived by one brother, Jimmy D. Garrett; one niece, Jamie; two nephews, Jimmy and Dustin; four godchildren, Chris, Scott, Pete and Sara.
Funeral services will be held at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma, Indiana, at 11:00am, Thursday, September 16, 2021. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
